Tsirgumäe Food Village MTÜ
The aim of the NGO is to create a food garden, which will be a forest park planted with plants that are useful to humans (edible, medicinal, for heating or as building materials) as well as plants that are necessary for the holistic functioning of the food garden, mimicking natural ecosystems and patterns in the planting principles. The establishment of a food garden is a process that takes many years and involves several stages of planning. The first stage was the decision to create an agroforestry, where a variety of cereals and vegetables are sown between the apple trees. All the major work needed on the food plot is done by horse power, with several people trained in the team.
