Project No 2021-2027.3.02.24-0026

Support measure: Local authority investment in cycle or footpaths

Implementing unit: National Support Services Centre

Project summary: The construction of a 1.6 km section of the Tartu bicycle and pedestrian road will mean a significant improvement in road safety on one of the main roads in the town of Valga - Tartu Street. The road will make it safer for cyclists from the outskirts of the city to reach the city centre, connecting the planned centre of Sooru (the centre before the 2017 administrative reform) and the centre of Valga. It will improve access to services and daily mobility for all groups of society in an easier, safer and more environmentally friendly way.
